Stay on Your Path- No Matter What

 

I hope everyone is adjusting to the new normal and staying safe.  I encourage all of us to stay on our path- no matter what obstacles may pop up along the way. Challenges will arise no doubt and we will continue to face them head on, standing in our truth. Let’s focus on balancing our bodies (chakras) with food used as fuel to nourish the mind, body and soul. We can and will step into our power when we align with who we are meant to be and what we want our purpose to be on the planet. Let’s take a look as some of those well-rounded foods later in this article to see how can we balance our bodies (chakras) to align with the greatest version of ourselves.  

Please continue to follow the CDC guidelines as much as possible, as we are not out of the woods yet regarding Covid 19. We must not become too complacent and let up as long as cases of the virus continue to rise. If we all do our part with social distancing and wearing masks, avoid congregating in large crowds, and washing hands regularly, we will stop the spread of the virus!

Let’s get back to taking care of our physical, mental and emotional bodies to start slowly transforming into the greatest version of ourselves. How can we nourish ourselves as healthfully as possible during these times and nourish our mind, body and soul to achieve our greatest selves?

As I progress on my spiritual journey, I am constantly learning new things and recognize that God will guide us, through our intuition, where we need to go to truly cherish and nourish our deeper selves, our higher selves. Also, as we connect to our most authentic selves, our higher selves, we start giving ourselves unconditional love, true self love, that has been lost along the way on our journey through the realities of living on our earthly plane.

Unfortunately, sometimes in becoming our most authentic selves, we may lose some people along the way. People who may have been near and dear to us at one point, however, may not resonate on the same vibrational energetic level. As difficult as this may be, it is most important to still step onto our true path, our authentic path, and those souls that are meant to align with us, will! If we have faith in God and the divine, we will understand how to step into our most authentic self and “be who we are meant to be on this earth” while fulfilling our soul’s mission in the process. Shine your light and do not dim to fit in I like to say!

So, you may ask, what foods help balance our chakras and nourish the mind, body, and soul. Well, as we know, eating the rainbow is very beneficial to our overall health. Do you remember ROY G. BIV back in elementary school? Yes, Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet are all important colors to get from our various food groups. These food groups help nourish our mind, body, and soul on our spiritual paths. What I have studied on my own spiritual journey is that certain foods can really benefit us depending on what our bodies need at the time. For example, have you ever just had the urge to eat pineapple or a potato? Why do you think you craved those certain foods? Could it be the taste or maybe something deeper?

Through research and discovering the importance of everything being comprised of “energy” and how important this is, I’ve discovered that the cravings for food can stem from a few important things. Our intuitive hunger signals may know that our body needs vitamin C- so we may want to eat broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, green or red peppers, leafy greens, tomatoes and winter squash to basically squash that craving. So, our intuitive hunger signals can help lead us to what our body needs to nourish it at the time. This happens when we are truly tuned into listening to our bodies and understanding what we are feeling and why we are hungry.

As I have learned, and continue to learn on my journey, understanding our chakras (eg. Crown, throat, sacral, solar plexus, heart, third-eye, and creativity chakras) help us also tune into what our body needs to balance or align with our best selves.

So what do the colors tell us:

 

Red for Energy (Root Chakra)-  Sometimes when feeling down, tired, lazy and just burnt out- we can benefit from “red foods” such as tomatoes, strawberries, raspberries, and beets to help boost energy levels and body temperatures.

Orange for Confidence & Self-Worth (Creativity Chakra)- When feeling low on confidence, doubting yourself, or unworthy of love, eat some oranges, mandarins, mangoes, carrots, squash, pumpkin, and yams which will benefit you and your emotional state.

Yellow for Joy (Solar Plexus Chakra)- When feeling depressed, sad or emotional, try eating some bananas, pineapple, sweet corn on the cob, and some yellow peppers, and watch how your mood changes. Yellow is a natural mood enhancer, so get some in your meal plans today!

Green for Rejuvenation (Heart Chakra)- If you are feeling low energy, stressed or just need a break from your routine? If you have adrenal fatigue, acidity or toxicity, you need more greens in your diet- that’s right. Incorporate those greens in a juicer and throw those wonderful leafy greens in there to rejuvenate your energy levels, free you up from toxicity, and alleviate feelings of stress and the mundane.

Blue/Black for Calming (Throat Chakra)-  Feeling anxious? With everything going on in today’s world, many are feeling more anxiety and maybe picking up on the anxiety of others around us. So what foods are good to eat for anxiety? Blueberries and blackberries can help elicit honest communication and have calming effects.

Violet for Peace (Third-Eye Chakra)- Foods such as eggplant, purple kale, concord grapes, purple carrots, will also help to bring peace and calm. These foods can also help ease the feelings of frustration, anger or inability to forgive.

White for Strength (Crown Chakra)-  Feeling down or defeated? Try foods such as mushrooms, garlic (love it- just brush teeth afterwards), ginger, onion, lychae, coconut and other tropical fruits to help give you inner strength and power. Overall, know that you a unique, special individual who needs nourishing of the mind, body, and soul! Eating whole foods, in their most natural, unprocessed state, from the colors of the rainbow, will help align you with your best emotional state and slowly help transform you into the greatest version of yourself!

    I know how integral it is to become the greatest versions of ourselves and I believe that I order to do that we need to always surround ourselves with the people who can always uplift us and give our their positivity and beautiful vibrations just as you always do for me and I will always do for you my friend. I love you and I know how wonderful of a positive influencer and motivation and great knowledgeable teacher you through your passions and spreading your light and I’m very proud of that and you my friend and I love you very very very much and I’m very blessed to have you my friend.
